Christopher R. Dorsett CFP®

Chris enjoys being with people. He has assisted individuals, families and small businesses with their financial planning needs since 1998. Chris helps clients organize their financial lives in order to pursue long-term goals. He offers insight into industry and business cycle trends, strategic and tactical investment strategies, risk analysis, and financial education.

In 1994, Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from California State University at Fullerton. Among his many other qualifications, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, and holds his FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 registrations.

In addition, Chris is a licensed Life and Health agent (CO License #283374). Insurance products he represents include life, accident and health, and long-term care.

Chris sits on the boards of two non-profit organizations within the Pikes Peak region — Southern Colorado Velo (SoCoVelo) and PikeRide.

Married to his wife, Karen, since 1988 they have three sons and daughters-in-law, as well as two grandsons. Chris’ hobbies and leisure-time activities include leading a cycling group, hiking, snowshoeing, riding his motorcycle, reading, gardening, and being with his grandchildren.

The CFP® designation is conferred by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.  To earn the credential, each CFP® candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time personal financial planning experience.  In addition, candidates must take the CFP® Certification examination and complete a CFP®-board registered program, or hold an accepted designation, degree, or license.  Every two years, CFP® certificants must complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education.  More information regarding the CFP® can be found at: www.cfp.net.
